Board Bill 66-Puts the power of surveillance in the city of St. Louis in hands of the Board of Alderman when it comes to the financial costs to the community, privacy concerns, and racially motivated surveillance.
Update: BB 66 will undergo a name change sometime after mid April when it’s re-introduced in the new Board of Alders’ session.

Private Eyes

The Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) is a police-controlled surveillance hub located in the city of St. Louis. This data center receives surveillance information from cell site simulators, photos from license plate readers, and street camera recordings. Reportedly created to fight crime, the RTIC raises serious civil liberties concerns.
